  2. PHANTOMWARE SLIDESHOWS VOL.1   Warner Bros. Cartoons

  4.   Thankyou for booting this file and for ordering the disk in the first
  5. place.
  6.   The slideshow is freeware and I want you to spread it as much as
  7. possible (so long as nothing is removed or altered).
  8.   I first had the urge to try doing slideshows about two years ago when
  9. a cousin of mine lent me his Amiga over Christmas. I began piddling about
  10. with DPaint 2 and turned out a reasonable Starship Enterprise and lunar
  11. landscape. I decided to save for my own Amiga (which took AGES) and in
  12. October '92, bought a second hand A500+. I managed to get a cheap copy
  13. of DPaint 3 from a friend and immediately began to work on some new stuff
  14.   I had been buying Amiga magazines for a while and noticed that CU AMIGA
  15. ran an Art Gallery. Three weeks after buying my Amiga I had a picture that
  16. I considered worth submitting and "The Master" was published in the
  17. December issue.
  18.   Although this was extremely pleasing, I still lacked the confidence to
  19. submit anything to a PD library. I mucked around for a few months, still
  20. not really exploiting the potential of DPaint fully, until I came across a
  21. routine to make a slideshow in an AMIGA FORMAT supplement. After compiling
  22. a short show of some of my work, I decided to go ahead and concentrate on a
  23. single subject for my first PD release.
  24.   PHANTOMWARE will be a mainly sci-fi and horror platform as far as slide-
  25. shows go. The only reason I began with Warner Bros. is that I had literally
  26. TONS of source material to work from. I also intend to move into animation
  27. and multimedia when my setup is up to scratch. Future projects I have in
  28. mind include Dr Who, Judge Dredd and Gerry Anderson (which will probably be
  29. a multimedia shareware project).
  30.   The next release should be available in late August (Dr Who) and will be
  31. obtainable directly from me at the address below. The price is £1.50, which
  32. may seem high but the postage and packing will account for 75p. Adding the
  33. disk cost will leave me a very small profit to put towards some extra RAM.
  34.   If anyone would like to write with any comments or suggestions, I'd love
  35. love to hear from you. Please enclose an s.a.e for replies.
  36.   Finally, if anyone has ANY sci-fi or horror photos and magazines to get
  37. rid of, please send 'em! I'd also like to hear from anyone who can help me
  38. with ProTracker. I'm hopeless!
